"Place of Hope" - Short story / Umid yeri-qisa həkayə

Umid Yeri NGO was officially registered at the Ministry of Justice, Republic of Azerbaijan in 1997 and immediately took over one of the most vital problems emerged due to transition period in our country. To that end the first Child Asylum in Azerbaijan was established to overcome the street children problem.

Continuous search raids conducted by the Umid Yeri members and volunteers to streets, stations, Seaside Park and a number of different places in Baku yielded positive results. Soon the House with maximum capacity to accommodate 50 children at a time started functioning and provided shelter for those in need.

Indeed it was their home to save them from miserable street life, incredibly poor living conditions in slums where they are completely vulnerable to dangerous infections and humiliating work in streets like cleaning of car wind shields, involvement in minor street trade and even begging in terrible winter cold and under burning rays of sun in summer. All children coming to the center can feel and get every care. They are provided with hygienic and medical services, pass social and psychological adaptation and are placed in appropriate educational institutions. The Center also assists children talented in music, dancing and other fields to upgrade and improve their skills in special schools. In addition, Umid Yeri has ensured rights of dozens with no registration address to serve their military service. Thus, during 9 years of its existence the center has been successful enough to shelter 800 children and encourage them to build their future.

We have to be with them... We have to take care of them.

This is our responsibility as citizens and human beings.

Children must be in our hearts not in the streets.

1997 - ci ildə Azərbaycan Respublikası Ədliyyə Nazirliyində rəsmi dövlət qeydiyyatına alındı və dərhal ölkəmizdə keçid dövrünün yaratdığı ən ağır sosial problemlərdən birinin - küçə uşaqları probleminin həllində iştiraka başladı. Bu məqsədlə Azərbaycanda ilk Uşaq Sığınacağı yaratdı.

"Ümid Yeri" Cəmiyətinin üzvləri və könüllülər davamlı olaraq Bakı küçələrinə, vağzallara, dənizkənarı parka və digər yerlərə reydlərə çıxmağa və bu yerləri özlərinə yaşayış məkanı seçmiş uşaqları sığınacağa gətirməyə başladılar. Çox keçmədi ki, 50 nəfərlik tutum gücü olan ev balaca sakinlərini öz ağuşuna aldı.

Dünən küçələrdə avtomobil şüşəsi silən, xırda alver edən,çirkli əllərini açıb dilənən, yoluxucu xəstəliklərin mənbəyi olan ən ağılagəlməz daldalanacaqlarda gecələyən, qışın soyuğunda donan, yayın od - alovunda kömür kimi qaralan uşaqlar "Ümid Yeri"nin simasında özlərinə ev tapdılar. "Ümid Yeri" nə daxil olan hər bir uşağ çimizdirildi, həkim müayinəsindən keçirildi, sosial - psixoloji adaptasiyaya cəlb edildikdən sonra müxtəlif təhsil müəssisələrində yerləşdirildi. O, cümlədən musiqi, rəqs, ifa etmək qabiliyyəti aşkarlanmış uşaqların ixtisas məktəblərində təhsil almalarına kömək göstərildi. "Ümid Yeri" heç yerdə qeydiyyatı olmayan, yetkinlik yaşına çatmış onlarla oğlan uşağına vətənə xidmət etmək haqqı qazandırdı. Onları öz ünvanından hərbi xidmətə yola saldı. Bu minvalla 9 illik fəaliyyət müddətində 800 azyaşlı uşaq Sığınacağa pənah gətirdi və öz sabahı üçün ümüdlü oldu.

Sahir is 13 years old , he is in orphanage since 2010. He feels here the best because as he says it is his real home. One year ago his friend showed him how to do handmade jewelry, now it is his hobby, in future he wants to be jeweler. He likes to do necklaces especially with red and green decorations.

Sahir 13 yaşi var , o 2010.-ci ildən uşaq evindedir. Dediyine gore O,özünü burada yaxşı hiss edir, çünki bura onun evindeki kimidir.. Bir il əvvəl dostu ona el işlerininin nece hazirlanmasini göstərdi, indi bu onun hobisidir, gələcəkde zərgər olmaq istəyir. O, xüsusile qırmızı və yaşıl bəzəkli boyunbaği düzeltmeyi sevir.

Dinara is 17 yeras old, as her friend Sahir she started his adventure with handmade jewelry one year ago.She likes it so much that she wants to become a true specialist in particular in making necklaces.

Dinara, 17 yaşı var,dostu Sahir kimi o da macerasina bir il əvvəl əl isi ile baslayib. O bunu qədər çox xoslayir ki,boyunbaği hazirlanmasinda əsl mütəxəssis olmaq istəyir.

Valeriya (16 years old) and Oksana (17 years old) both want to be profesional dancers in future, it is good way of expression they said.Valeria learned how to do jewelry in school and afterthat she gave this passion to other collegues from orphanage. She likes to make bracelets cause she knows that doing something nice which makes it a lot of satisfaction to her. Her other hobby is piano.

Valeriya (16 yaş) və Oksana (17 yaş) onlar her ikisi gələcəkdə professional rəqqas olmaq istəyir,deyirler ki,bu ifadə etməyin yaxşi yoludur.Valeria məktəb el işlerini nece düzəltmək lazim olduğunu oyrəndi və bu həvəsi uşaq evinde olan digər uşaqlarda yaratdi . O, bilərzik düzeltmeyi sevir,çunki her hansi gozəl bir şey düzəltməyin onu məmnun etdiyini bilir. Onun digər hobbisi pianino çalmaqdir.
